A Hidden Treehouse Gathering -
On a beautiful October morning, we arrived at Mohican Treehouse Resort nestled in the outstanding wooded acres of Glenmont, Ohio. Truth be told, this is when I fell in love with the peace that came from the sun shining through the trees. The couple, who were long-distance up until this special day, celebrated their marriage with family and friends from all over; including Northern Ohio, New York, Michigan, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. The ways in which their family and friends were present for them truly speak to how blessed David + Elizabeth are.
Tucked away in the upstairs bridal loft, Elizabeth and her ladies spent their morning laughing and getting their hair and makeup done (shout out to Hayley Palmer Makeup and Brooke Nofzinger for hair). David and his guys, hidden in a private treehouse just off the venue, spent their morning fake proposing and making a grand exit out of the shower room. On the deck, Elizabeth carved out a special time to do a first look with her ladies and her father. David dedicated sweet moments by inviting his family to be with him and gifting them personalized mementos.

From the road, the location looked like any other parch of woods, so much so that even some of their guests got lost! Yet, after driving through the twisting gravel road, a stunning resort reveals itself. The couple asked their guests to dress in formal black and gold attire to help make the natural beauty of the colors around them shine.
Elizabeth’s talented father, aunt, and uncle began the ceremony with a live performance of a Spanish love song to honor their new blended family.
Elizabeth walked down the aisle (the stiars pictured below) and met David on stone patio surrounded by chirping birds, sun rays, and their stunning florals made by her family. We deeply wish everyone could have heard the custom song Elizabeth recorded and surprised David with as she gracefully cascaded down the aisle. Everyone, I mean, EVERYONE was in tears.

David + Elizabeth stated that having moments like saying their vows in private, 10 minutes to themselves directly after the ceremony, and getting away for their pictures reminded them to slow down and notice the day shining around them. From Sunrise to Sunset, they never let a second go by without expressing their love for each other and for those who surrounded them.
Later in the evening, their guests enjoyed a delicious BBQ meal catered by Old Carolina BBQ and custom milkshakes and/or sundaes provided by Orr. Every single person danced the night away to music provided by Rockin’ Al. To date, this was the most lively crowd and upbeat reception we have seen. To end their dream day, David + Elizabeth were sent into married life with a sparkler send-off.
