A Snowy Winter Bliss -
On a snowy winter February day, we arrived at GracePointe Church in the small town of Northwood, Ohio. This is one of those amazing days where you could tell the Lord was with them. The couple, who had just spent the day before decorating the little church together, continued to be surrounded by their encouraging family and friends. It seemed as if everyone pitched in to help form this special day for them.
Hiding away in separate “Sunday school kids’ rooms” Brittney spent her morning with her ladies doing their own hair and makeup and having to do many touch-ups due to all the happy tears. Luke and his guys spent their morning laughing and sharing stories of Luke’s most embarrassing moments. Just before the ceremony, the respective side of the bridal party and parents prayed over Brittney and Luke separately. Praying for protection, happiness, and the ability to glorify the Lord in all that they do. The couple also devoted a quiet moment in the morning to write letters to one another. As well as take a private moment to do a first touch just before walking down the aisle.

One of the most sincere details of their wedding is the blessing Brittney gave to her mom and step-dad by asking them both to walk her down the aisle. Luke thanked them both with a hug as they gave their little girl away. All with a little laugher at how much both the best man and maid of honor were both sobbing.

Thus far, the BEST moment of a wedding is when Luke and his guys thought it would be a good idea to walk out on a frozen lake. It did not take too long for all the guys to be down on the ice, their dress shoes did not help them out. They definitely considered leaving the last guy on the ice for dancing to warm them up at the reception.
